NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION

To register for current school year:  New student registration is done BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. You may call the Guidance Office at 318-7337 or 318-7345 x5017 or x5018 or x5020 to set up an appointment for parent and student to meet with a counselor to select classes.

To register for the 2007-08 school year:  New student registration is done BY APPOINTMENT ONLY beginning August 21st.  You may call the Guidance Office after August 1st at 318-7337 x5018 or x5017 or x5020 to set up an appointment for parent and student to meet with a counselor to select classes.

In order to register, you must live in Hermosa Beach or Manhattan Beach and provide us with the following items:

  1. Proof of residency - TWO ORIGINAL UTILITY BILLS REQUIRED (excluding phone bill) which would be gas, electric or water bills, plus one of the following:
    •  
      • Original, current Los Angeles County Property Tax Bill
      • Original, current Los Angeles County Property Tax Exemption Form
      • Original, signed Escrow Documents or Recorded Grant Deed
      • Original, current DMV Vehicle Registration Form

If you rent property, please also include the original lease/rental agreement in addition to the above. If you rent property, and utilities are included in your lease, in addition to the lease/rental agreement, please submit THREE OF THE FOLLOWING (that verify your Manhattan/Hermosa Beach address:

  •  
    • Driver's License
    • Credit Card Statement
    • Original, current DMV Vehicle Registration Form
    • Original, current Los Angeles County Registrar of Voters Form
    • One other current bill mailed to your residence (excluding phone bill)
  1. Original birth certificate (not a hospital copy).
  2. Student Withdrawal Form from previous school along with "Unofficial" copy of student's transcript if 10-12th grader, or copy of last report card if incoming 9th grader.
  3. If student is coming from a California school, you must bring CAHSEE (California High School Exit Exam) test scores if 11th or 12th graders, and CAT6 standardized test scores.
  4. Copy of student's immunization records. If student is coming from out of state and has never been enrolled in a California school, we also need TB MANTOUX test results, proof of Varicella vaccine (chicken pox) and/or written proof from physician that child has had the chicken pox. Also, Hepatitis B series must be started - needs at least one shot of the series.
  5. Copy of most recent IEP, SST or 504 plan from previous school, if any.

 

 

Failure to bring the above items to appointment with counselor will result in the appointment being cancelled and rescheduled.
